Although this blog is no longer active (Agosia Arts still is!), it remains a useful repository for some of my early musings. My goals were to : 1) provide a peek behind the scenes at how my work is produced; 2) document my problem solving process; and 3) encourage others to try new things. If you have questions, email me at catibbets@agosiaarts.com. Thank you for visiting!

Hello from the studio!

Welcome to my new blog!  I will admit I'm not a big fan of blogs, but I've succumbed to the digital pressure for one main reason: to reach those of you who want to know how I do what I do.  For years, I've tried to arrange figure making classes (the demand was always high), but for a variety of reasons, the classes never jelled.  These days, most people are saving their money for necessities and don't have spare change for art classes (or art for that matter - sigh).  So, for all of you who want to know how it's done, you'll get some free classes here.

I don't intend for this blog to be an exhaustive how-to.  After all, a lot of what I do is self-taught and I strongly encourage others to develop their own techniques.  However, I hope you will enjoy following along as I build a new set of figures and solve the technical difficulties that are sure to arise.

Best regards, Alana
